Nursing Officer

To provide safe, comprehensive, and patient-centered cardiac nursing care to individuals with cardiac conditions through assessment, monitoring, treatment, health education, disease prevention, and continuity of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing administrative and clinical duties.
  

• Ensure high-quality nursing care is achieved through adherence to nursing protocols.
  

• Ensure smooth running of wards/units by allocating duties to junior nursing staff.
  

• Ensure wards are adequately stocked with equipment, supplies, and drugs, ensuring safe custody.
  

• Provide educational and counseling services to patients and their families.
  

• Conduct performance appraisals of subordinate staff.
  

• Adhere to professional code of ethics and conduct.
  

Person/Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized university.
  

• Registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council.
  

• Valid practicing license.
