Job Title: Paper Store Manager
Department: - Stores / Supply Chain
Experience: - Mini. 8 Years.
Location : Uganda
Roles & Responsibilities
To manage the receipt, storage, inventory control, issuance, and preservation of paper reels store in corrugated carton production. The role
ensures uninterrupted material availability while minimizing inventory losses, waste, and storage-related damage.
Key Responsibilities are-
Inventory Management
• Maintain accurate inventory records of all paper grades and GSMs.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock verification.
• Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) or FEFO practices where applicable.
• Investigate and report inventory discrepancies.
Receiving & Inspection
• Receive incoming paper reels.
• Verify quantities, specifications, GSM, BF, moisture levels, and supplier documentation as given order.
• Coordinate quality inspections with the Quality department for timely IQC test.
• Report damaged or non-conforming reels with reels numbers.
Material Issuance
• Issue paper reels according to approved production plans.
• Ensure correct paper grade and size are supplied to production.
• Maintain accurate issue records in ERP/manual systems.
• Track material consumption by machine and production order.
Storage Management
• Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent moisture damage, deformation, or contamination.
• Organize storage locations for efficient identification and retrieval.
• Maintain proper labelling and traceability of all paper reels.
• Implement good housekeeping (5S) practices in the warehouse.
• Manage butt / small reels re-winding stock, re-winding & consumption properly.
ERP & Documentation
• Prepare daily stock movement reports.
• Maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), Material Issue Notes and stock registers.
• Support month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation.
Coordination
• Coordinate with: Procurement, Production Planning, Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics.
• Ensure materials are available to meet production schedules.
Loss Prevention
• Monitor paper wastage during handling and reduce inventory losses through proper storage and handling.
• Ensure compliance with company inventory control procedures.
• Investigate stock shortages and recommend corrective actions.
Safety & Compliance
• Ensure safe handling of heavy paper reels and proper arrangement of reels (on wood blocks).
• Ensure compliance with IMS – ISO-9001 & 22000. & Maintain fire safety and emergency preparedness within the paper store.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
Experience
• Mini. 8 years of experience in paper store management in the corrugated carton or printing & packaging, industry is preferred.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Samadhan, or similar inventory management software.
Required Skills

• Knowledge of kraft paper grades, GSM, BF, and paper specifications
• ERP and inventory software proficiency & Strong analytical and reporting skills
