Responsibilities
1. Assist in carrying out routine maintenance and inspections of substation equipment, such as transformers, circuit breakers, relays, and other electrical systems.
2. Check and maintain the condition of electrical equipment and identify potential issues.
3.Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in substation electrical equipment.
4.Perform minor repairs or replacements of components as needed under the guidance of a Substation Maintenance Engineer.
5.Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with safety procedures, electrical regulations, and company policies.
6.Work in accordance with safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing maintenance tasks.
7.Conduct basic testing of substation equipment and systems under supervision to ensure proper operation.
8.Monitor the performance of equipment during maintenance and report any irregularities to the maintenance team.
9.Record and document all maintenance, inspection, and repair activities.
10.Report on the condition of substation equipment and any issues identified during routine tasks.
11.Provide support during emergency maintenance or system faults, assisting with equipment repairs and restoration of service.
12.Help in the isolation and de-energizing of systems during fault rectification.
13.Participate in ongoing training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge of substation equipment and systems.
14.Stay updated on industry best practices, safety standards, and new technologies in electrical maintenance.
