The job holder’s primary role will be to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all
electrical systems and equipment in the estate. You will be responsible for the maintenance,
repair, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems, including lighting, UPS, inverters,
generators, switch boards, distribution boards and other equipment.
Requirements
• Diploma / Higher Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering from recognized Institution;
• Should possess a minimum 5 years’ hands on practical experience in Electrical systems maintenance;
• Proven experience in installation, preventive maintenance, repair and commissioning of;
• DC and AC Power systems, Solar Power back-up Systems and Solutions, UPS, AVR and generators;
• Driving experience and current updated license;
• Should possess excellent organization skills;
• Proficiency in computer use required in MS office packages;
• Capable in preparing material schedule summary reports, electrical plans, technical specifications, line diagrams, and other project documentation for management review;
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and drawings;
• Proficiency in CAD software AutoCAD;
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems both in power and control systems;
• Attention to cost and downtime management;
• Excellent spoken and written command of English;
• Strong conflict resolution skills;
• Routinely taking initiative;
• Customer/End-user awareness;
• Excellent communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization; and,
• The flexibility to cope with new changing environment and method of delivery.

• Conduct routine maintenance checks on all electrical systems and equipment, including lighting, UPS, inverters, generators, Switch boards, Distribution boards and other equipment, to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently;
• Troubleshoot and repair any electrical issues that arise, including diagnosing problems, replacing faulty components, and ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard;
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical repairs, maintenance checks, and replacements, including recording any parts or components that have been replaced;
• Respond promptly to any electrical emergencies, including power outages or other issuesthat may affect the safety or security of the estate 24hrs;
• Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to ensure all electrical systems are functioning effectively and efficiently, and to identify areas for improvement;
• Provide support to the electrical Engineer and stand in for the electrical engineering assistants at all stations of Masaka and Kyamulibwa;
• Ensures the safety of the MRC workshop facility in Masaka and Kyamulibwa
• Quickly responds to electrical installation faults reported in the field stations in Masaka and Kyamulibwa; and,
• Respond to and provide support for minor HVAC, plumbing, and general estate jobs as needed.
