Who is WE4D?
Women Employment for the Green Transformation in Africa (WE4D) is a regional initiative commissioned by the German Government (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ, in partnership with Fuzu. Our mission is to improve the employment and economic situation of women and youth in Kenya by connecting them with companies driving the "Green Transformation" through our AI-powered digital green jobs platform. For job seekers, the program accelerates careers by combining this intelligent matching platform with targeted technical and soft-skills training, providing the mentorship and tools necessary to secure employment and increase income.
The initiative is equally impactful for the private sector; WE4D empowers employers in the green economy by providing access to a vetted pool of gender-diverse talent and AI-matching tools. This is complemented by technical assistance to help businesses implement gender-responsive HR policies and sustainable business practices that drive operational growth.
Through our digital matching platform, we aim to help 300 young people and especially women find new jobs and support 150 others in improving their current work conditions. The WE4D platform is open to women and youth between the ages of 18 and 35 in Kenya who are passionate about building careers in green and greening sectors.
