There are tons of jobs you might never have heard of. Some people have opted to pursue a little more abstract careers. We are not talking about the crazy or cool jobs, the likes of a Pet Food Tester or a Professional Cuddler.

Kenya Power had people talking when it put up a tender advert on 24th Wednesday. Among the services listed for bidding, ‘Anonymous Whistle-Blowing Services’ caught people’s eyes. Just like most people, it got us wondering what the job description looks like? Will the whistleblower be required to wear a wire?

However, after realizing the confusion caused by the unique tender, Kenya Power rushed to Twitter to clarify.

“We are putting in place an online anonymous reporting mechanism to promote ethical culture & we are the process of procuring the services of an independent professional firm to effect this. Apologies for the confusion arising from this tender.”

“To embed a strong ethical culture, Kenya Power is putting in place an online anonymous reporting mechanism. The professional firm will record, report, interpret, analyse and store data on unethical practices,” the acting CEO, Jared Otieno said giving more clarification.

This comes in the wake of several graft cases facing the power utility firm senior officials.
