We are currently looking for Head of Tracking and Control Room for a logistics company based at Zambia

Must possess Strong IT and technical skills.
Set up a comprehensive tracking and control room for the fleet and guide the tracking division team.
Alert management on over speeding, harsh braking, excessive idling and fatigue
management. The candidate should be able to formulate SOPs for controlling the same.
Make sure status reports to customers are sent to client on a timely manner.
Implementation of live tracking, journey management for each truck, briefing and debriefing of drivers.
Optimise cost reduction in fuel consumption.
Reduce downtime and incidents by implementation of best practises.
Understand the roles and responsibilities of each tracker and ensure that they are performing their work optimally.
Perform regular audits on the trackers and maintain records of performance-based results.
Controlling, training, motivating and developing ‘reports’ reporting to you.
Formulate and articulate SOPs for the tracking department.
Create KRA/KPI for the tracking team.
Monitoring truck/driver performance scorecards.
Design and develop tracking parameters along with sustainable methods to present reports
and conclusions to management on timely basis.Follow up with fleet controllers and tracking manger and whoever else in ensuring on swift
operations.Managing Incident reporting, investigations and successful implementation of control
measures.Control and manage crisis incidents by coordinating and responding to emergency situations.
Ensuring strict compliance with company regulations plus governing laws.
Liaise with drivers, tracking/operations personnel, w/shop, customers and management for
optimal movement of trucks.Developing and presenting management reports on timely basis.
Managing logistics aspects including customer service, administration, enhancement of systems, information technology.
Liaising with clients, clearing agents, customs authorities, other governing bodies and
whoever else in ensuring smooth facilitation of trucks.Identifying operational procedure expectations and taking immediate remedial action.
Create process flows and improve systems.
Bring out the best from your ‘reports’ by providing training, coaching, development and
motivation.Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and
leverage growth opportunities.Continuously implement and initiate areas of improvement and provide regular analysis
report to management.Provide necessary coaching to subordinate staff to improve communications and where
necessary.Use your knowledge to implement technology and best practice in the organisation.
