  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or related fields.
  • Proficiency and experience in scripting languages with rapid prototyping skills in SQL, Python, Perl, Java, VB, etc.
  • Highly skilled in statistical and modeling packages such as SAS, Statistical, MATLAB, R, visualization, and other advanced analysis tools.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in a senior data science position.


Responsibilities

  • Highly skilled in statistical and modeling packages such as SAS, Statistical, MATLAB, R, visualization, and other advanced analysis tools.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in a senior data science position.


  • Leading innovation within the business by defining how the business creates additional value through utilization of data assets and analytics.
  • Identify and monitor key business risks and realize the data needs of the business.
  • Manage the business’s external data and analytics partners.
  • Develop and design of the departmental vision, capabilities, infrastructure, and roadmap for the launch of data sciences capabilities.
  • Build the business’s data science talent needs, role definition, recruitment, and development of a team to move business agenda forward.
  • Improving the business’s data analysis model, creating industry-leading performance by leveraging new and creative data-sources, and employing the latest in machine learning in the department.
  • Develop roadmap for the data and analytics function that clearly defines ownership and responsibility between the central data function and the functional groups.
  • Collaborate with all functions of the company to ensure data needs are addressed and the required data is modeled and available to analysts and end-users.  
  • Work with the product, operations, and executive management teams to create a data enabled user journey.
  • Ensure centralization of Airline’s cloud and on-premises data into a single data lake and modeled to support data analysis requirements from all functional groups
  • Develop data models to track the business’s performance againstdata analysis model and monitor trends in key business KPIs.
