About the role:

Sales Associates at GAEA Foods play a pivotal role in driving the company's sales forward.

This position is dual-focused:
  • Nurturing and expanding current client relationships through

    regular visits, assisting with orders, ensuring timely payments, and enhancing GAEA Foods’
  • presence with effective use of POS materials and product placements
  • Aggressively

    identifying and securing new business opportunities through strategic cold calling and
  • prospecting. Sales Associates are expected to meet and exceed weekly and monthly targets for acquiring new customers and increasing sales volume


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field is
      preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be
    • considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in sales, specifically within the B2B
    segment of FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector. 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and effectively managing customer
    relationships. 
  • Experience in establishing call protocols, prospecting new clients, and increasing
    market coverage. 
  • Familiarity with the Kenyan market and the ability to navigate its complexities is
    highly desirable. 
  • Previous experience in order management and processing, with a clear understanding
    of the sales cycle from generation to fulfillment
  • Certification or training in sales techniques, customer service, or marketing is a plus.

  • • Develop and implement tools, systems, and structures to support sales and marketing
    efforts including on social media platforms.

    • Create a trade universe (data base) of clients, track and monitor sales orders achieved

    on a weekly basis.

    • Establishing a weekly sales plan including tracking the costs (fuel and other costs) of sale acquisitions.

    • Reporting to MD on sales achieved vs budget on a weekly basis

    • Facilitate and promote knowledge-sharing and marketing strategies within the company and with external partners.

    • Provide management with input on a distribution strategy

    • Follow up on client payments (receivables) in liaison with accounts department.


    • Collaborate closely with other team members involved in accounting, factory

    operations and product development.

    • Participate in marketing campaigns and promotional activities as required.


    • Ensure compliance with driving and delivery standards; must be a licensed driver

    with a clean driving record.

    • Maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring Gaea Foods orders are processed

    efficiently.

    • Achieve sales targets through effective prospecting and new customer acquisition.


    • Drive to deliver orders, adhering to established routes and delivery schedules.
