To oversee and manage the security operations within the hospital premises, ensuring the safety and protection of patients, staff, visitors, and assets. This includes coordinating security personnel, monitoring surveillance systems, assessing potential security risks, implementing preventative measures, and responding promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies

Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Security Management, Criminology or its equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
  • Experience working in a corporate set up is preferred.
  • Previousexperience in National Police Service or military is preferred.
  • Certificate of good conduct

  • Ensure the implementation of security and safety policies, procedures, and processes within the hospital premises.
  • Provide comprehensive induction for outsourced security guards, acquainting them with hospital security protocols for optimal service delivery. Maintain manned security posts at all entry points, perimeter walls, parking lots, and public areas to ensure continuous security coverage.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular inspections of hospital premises, equipment, and access points.
  • Ensure that security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems, are properly maintained and functioning.
  • Promptly respond to security emergencies and promptly report incidents to relevant stakeholders and emergency response agencies.
  • Apprehend and interrogate suspects within the hospital premises, escalating cases for further investigation or prosecution as necessary.
  • Implement measures to deter crime, regulate access, and secure hospital facilities.
  • Conduct periodic security drills involving security and hospital staff, patients, and visitors to assess preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Address security issues and complaints in collaboration with the hospital security team, adhering to established protocols.
  • Analyze security operations to identify and mitigate potential risks, developing contingency plans to address incidents effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate security practices to ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of security incidents, reports, and surveillance activities, and prepare comprehensive reports as required.
  • Conductinterviews with witnesses as necessary and obtain required signatures.
  • Continuously review and update security measures to adapt to evolving threats and ensure a safe environment for all within the hospital premises.
