Accountant (Full-Time) – Immediate Start
Location: CIATA Mall, Kiambu Road, Nairobi, Kenya
Salary: KES 45,000 – 60,000 per month (depending on experience)
MMT Alliance is an Australian-owned international procurement, infrastructure and project delivery company with headquarters in Australia and regional operations across Kenya, the UAE and East Africa. We specialise in international procurement, construction, infrastructure, logistics, project finance, and the delivery of major Government, UN and NGO-funded projects.
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our growing team based in Nairobi. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale procurement and infrastructure projects while supporting our Australian Executive Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Project budgeting, financial forecasting and cost control.
- Monitor project profitability, cashflow and financial performance.
- Full bookkeeping, Accounts Payable & Receivable, bank reconciliations and payroll.
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports.
- Manage project income, expenditure and project bank accounts.
- Track labour, subcontractor, material and operational costs.
- Prepare VAT, PAYE, corporate tax and statutory filings.
- Support audits, financial governance and internal controls.
- Manage company compliance including CR12, company records and statutory documentation.
- Ensure accurate financial records and supporting documentation for all projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- CPA (Part II/III), ACCA or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Minimum three (3) years' accounting experience (project, construction or procurement experience highly desirable).
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax legislation and statutory compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or similar).
- Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
