About the Role The Accounts & Admin Officer combines financial management responsibilities with comprehensive administrative and operational support functions. The role is the operational nerve centre of the office responsible for maintaining financial records, managing petty cash and driver allowances, office supplies and other administrative needs for the organization.

What You Will Do
- Process and post daily financial transactions, including sales, receipts, supplier payments, and petty cash, while maintaining accurate financial records.
- Manage customer receipts and cash collections, including issuing receipts, preparing bank deposits, and ensuring cash balances reconcile.
- Manage petty cash and driver allowances, including disbursements, daily reconciliations, trip/fuel records, and monthly reporting.
- Update transactions and sales, working with the Loans Officer to reconcile disbursements, collections, outstanding balances, and sales.
- Coordinate procurement and office supplies, including obtaining quotations, processing purchase requests, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining procurement and inventory records.
- Reconcile supplier statements and maintain asset records, including conducting stock and asset counts and monitoring minimum stock levels.
- Coordinate office facilities and service providers, including utilities, cleaning, security, internet, equipment maintenance, and building management.
- Assist coordinate staff logistics and company activities, including travel, field visits, accommodation, transport, travel advances, courier services, and events.
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative documentation, ensuring records are properly filed, retrievable, and handled with appropriate confidentiality and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. A Diploma with strong relevant experience will be considered.
- CPA Part I (Section 1 to 2)
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in a combined accounts and administration role, preferably in an SME, financial services, or multi-product business.
- Demonstrable experience in petty cash management, procurement coordination, and financial reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally or similar) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Familiarity with loan/credit management systems is an added advantage.
- Strong numerical aptitude, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- High degree of integrity, reliability, and discretion in handling financial and confidential information.
