Biomedical Technologist - Nakuru

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be in possession of a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with 2 years’ experience or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering with at least 4 years’ experience.
  

Key Competencies:

• Successful candidates must have technical skills in managing medical equipment, excellent planning and organization skills, machine equipment trouble shooting skills and attention to details
  

• Reporting to the Hospital Manager, this position is responsible for:
  
• Planning, organizing and coordinating the maintenance of medical equipment within the hospital including preparing and implementing the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes
  
• Carrying out routine repairs, preparing budgets and tracking costs
  
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting
  
• Equipment calibration and safety checks
  
• User training on equipment use and ensuring health and safety compliance.
