Qualifications and Experience

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Public Relations/Communication/ Sales and Marketing or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
  2. At least five years’ experience in a customer-facing role. Cross-cultural experience will be of added advantage.
  3. Good knowledge of the agricultural landscape in Africa
  4. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  6. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  7. A team player with good interpersonal skills.
  8. Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality


Responsibilities
1 Serve as the main point of contact for all communication to clients regarding certification matters
2 Liaise and follow up on prospective audits with clients, prompting and converting them into business in good time head of expiry of the current certification and/or license.

3 Managing the application process in good time. Receiving the applications and liaising with the scheme managers for application approvals and confirmation of audit dates with the client once approved by the Scheme Managers

4 Issuing clients with the necessary contracts and sublicence agreements, ensuring that the same are signed before engagement

5 Coordinating with Finance Team by availing all information necessary for quote generation

6 Manage and update the audit calendar on weekly basis by slotting prospective, tentative and confirmed audits

7 Generating and dispatch of audit plans to the clients

8 Dispatching prerequisite documents to audit teams ahead of field mobilization

9 Consistently adhere to scheme protocols with respect to application and registration processes necessary to uphold the accreditation of AfriCert

10 Provide oversight over the certification activities in the satellite offices.

11 Familiarize yourself with the quality manual, internal Operating standards and Finance policy and be bound by the provisions herein

12 Maintain an up-to-date database of all active and inactive clients.

13 Actively participate in business development activities; special emphasis on client follow-ups

14 Submit weekly progress reports to the Managing Director.

15 Any other related duties which may be assigned to you from time to time
