Qualifications/special skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); in environmental sciences, communications studies, or a related field;
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme in environmental sciences, communications studies, or a related field (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent). Applicants to the UN Internship Programme are not required to have professional work experience.
- However, a field of study that is closely related to the type of internship that you are applying for is required.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of in-house meeting coverage of the Secretariat's annual Open- ended Working Group meetings and the annual Meetings of the Parties.
- Support the development of global communication campaigns to mark World Ozone Day and the 10th anniversary of the Kigali Amendment.
- Support meetings taking place during the internship period by providing communications, branding and logistical assistance at both the meeting of the Open-ended Working Group (July) and Meeting of the Parties (November).
