This is a key role to the company that ensures a smooth flow of key digital media, marketing and administration processes. The job holder will be responsible for updating and creating content on our social media website,  email and WhatsApp lists. They will also manage day-to-day interactions with  our community and contacts via social media channels including Instagram,  YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter. They will also play a role in helping establish key relationships with partners and grow sales for our gluten free  brand Homechef.

Responsibilities

This is a key role to the company that ensures a smooth flow of key digital media, marketing and administration processes. The job holder will be responsible for updating and creating content on our social media website,  email and WhatsApp lists. They will also manage day-to-day interactions with  our community and contacts via social media channels including Instagram,  YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter. They will also play a role in helping establish key relationships with partners and grow sales for our gluten free  brand Homechef.  


Reports to: Director  





Design  

  • Design of online content using simple design tools 

  • Weekly podcast posters to announce upcoming episodes 

  • Website banners as required  

Social Media

  • Brainstorming and proposing social media campaigns  

  • Coordinating social media campaigns.  

  • Managing content calendar to ensure relevant posts and campaigns are put up on  time using scheduling platforms  

  • Growth of social media networks and audiences 

  • Development of relationships with social media “influencers” 

  • Coordinating shoots with relevant service providers 

  • Analysing data to determine whether social media campaigns have achieved their  objectives  

Sales and Marketing 

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and  prospective customers 

  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet  their needs 

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling 

  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize  satisfaction 

  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule 

Communications  

  • Formulating high quality novel written and visual content for each campaign • Send out communication to our community using mail chimp and WhatsApp

  • Use mail chimp to design the layout, ensure relevant info is in- upcoming campaigns,  offers, content etc 

  • Regularly add contacts to email list and WhatsApp list 

Administration  

  • Raising invoices and following up on payments with service providers  • Help with the planning and hosting of events 

  • Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations 

  • Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns  and attend them to facilitate their success 

  • Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non financial information 

  • Support Director on various administrative or project tasks as assigned


Requirements  

  • Proven experience in Digital media, design and marketing  

  • Good understanding of social media, office management and marketing principles • Sales experience is an added advantage  

  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines 

  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach 

  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases 

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Wordpress, Media editing softwares such as  photoshop, Asana, Social Media Management tools and online applications (CRM  tools, Mailchimp, Online analytics, Google Adwords etc.) 

  • Exquisite communication and people skills 

  • Bachelor degree in marketing, business administration, communication and/or  design  

  • Position employs a bring your own computer policy
