Qualifications, Skills and Experience

At least 3 years of work experience as a cook, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
Certificate in Food Production or related field from a recognized institution.
Knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to prepare nutritious, balanced meals tailored to patients and staff.
Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and infection control measures in a healthcare setting.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with nutritionists, nurses, and other staff.
Flexibility to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Commitment to patient-centered service and professionalism.
Terms of Engagement: 2-year contract, renewable

Prepare and cook balanced, nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors according to daily menus and dietary requirements.
Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency and reduce wastage.
Collaborate with nutritionists or dieticians to prepare meals that meet specific dietary restrictions.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food to prevent spoilage and contamination.
Assist in receiving, checking, and storing deliveries to ensure quality and safety.
Coordinate with fellow cooks, kitchen assistants, nutritionists, and other staff to ensure smooth meal service.
Assist in serving food in patient wards, staff canteen, or designated service areas.
Adhere to all relevant hospital policies, safety standards, and statutory food regulations.
