FARM ADMINISTRATOR_MUCEMI FARM

The Farm Administrator will be responsible for the planning, coordination, administration, and control of farm operations at Mucemi Farm, with primary emphasis on the breeding, performance monitoring, and genetic improvement of Hampshire Down Sheep. The role requires application of sound agricultural management principles to ensure efficient livestock production, optimal resource utilization, regulatory compliance, and sustainable farm profitability.

· Develop and implement annual and seasonal farm operational plans aligned with livestock breeding and crop production cycles.

· Maintain accurate production, breeding, health, and financial records, including livestock
performance data.

· Manage and supervise farm personnel through structured task allocation and performance monitoring.

· Oversee Hampshire Down Sheep breeding programs including mating plans, lambing schedules, selection, and culling strategies.

· Coordinate crop production, fodder development, fruit, and vegetable farming to support livestock nutrition.

· Prepare and control farm budgets, cost projections, and operational expenditures.

· Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for livestock handling, biosecurity, and farm operations.

· Coordinate marketing of livestock and farm produce through agricultural exhibitions.

· Prepare periodic technical, financial, and management reports.

· Ensure effective management and maintenance of farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure.

· Implement cost-control measures to enhance farm profitability.

· Manage inventory systems for feeds, veterinary supplies, and farm inputs.

· Ensure compliance with agricultural, animal welfare, and biosecurity standards.

· Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Competencies

· Diploma or Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Animal Production, Crop Science, or a related discipline.

· Minimum of two (2) years’ post-qualification experience in livestock and crop production.

· Demonstrated experience or working knowledge in sheep breeding and flock management.

· High level of computer literacy (mandatory).

· Strong supervisory, analytical, and organizational skills.

· Effective communication and personnel management skills.

· High attention to detail.

· Willingness to relocate and reside at the farm.
