Description
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) supports the technical needs of Philips customers by delivering installation, corrective maintenance, planned maintenance, and remote support for imaging systems, maximizing system uptime and customer satisfaction. The FSE serves as a technical resource for implementing solutions that require analysis of situations or data and in-depth knowledge of the solution, working at customer sites, remotely, and through Philips Remote Service channels. The role sits at the heart of the customer experience: Field Service Engineer is responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge, ensuring diagnostic imaging equipment operates safely, reliably, and in full compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
You are the right fit if:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Biomedical, Mechatronics), Medical Sciences, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum 4 years in a customer-facing role within an Engineering, Medical, or Science-related environment.
- Direct hands-on experience servicing diagnostic imaging equipment (MRI, CT, X-ray, Cath Lab/IGT, or Nuclear Medicine), in either a field service or hospital biomedical/clinical engineering setting.
- Experience with service management platforms (e.g., ServiceMax or equivalent CRM/FSM systems) and remote service tools.
- OEM modality training certificates (Multimodality preferred).
- IT/networking certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) is an added advantage.
Your Role:
- Provide advanced field service support for Philips Imaging systems, including troubleshooting, maintenance, software/hardware upgrades, installations, and end-to-end case ownership through resolution.
- Perform system diagnostics and repairs across Philips technologies using approved tools, remote diagnostics, and structured problem-solving methods to minimize downtime and restore clinical operations.
- Ensure compliance with Philips quality standards, medical device regulations, radiation safety requirements, MR safety protocols, and accurate completion of all service documentation and records.
- Maintain detailed service records, manage parts inventory responsibly, and ensure full traceability of diagnostics, repairs, and system performance activities.
- Build strong customer relationships by managing escalations, communicating technical issues effectively, setting clear expectations, and understanding the operational impact of equipment downtime.
- Contribute to team success through technical expertise, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement initiatives, adoption of new technologies, and identification of commercial opportunities such as service upgrades and lifecycle replacements.
