We are urgently looking for an Imports and Logistics Coordinator who will be responsible for managing and coordinating international shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective importation of goods.
This role involves working closely with freight forwarders, customs agents, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure all logistical processes comply with regulations and meet company timelines.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
2. 2–4 years of experience in import operations, international logistics, or freight forwarding.
3. Strong understanding of INCOTERMS, international trade compliance, and customs procedures.
4. Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Zoho)
preferred.
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
6. Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with freight forwarding software or tracking tools.
Knowledge of free trade agreements and trade documentation.
Ability to negotiate with vendors and carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
Import Management:
1.Coordinate end-to-end import activities including documentation, tracking, and communication with suppliers and freight forwarders.
2.Ensure all import documents (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.) are accurate and compliant with local customs regulations.
3.Monitor shipments and proactively address delays, issues, or discrepancies.
Customs and Compliance:
1.Liaise with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
2.Stay updated on changes in import/export regulations, tariffs, and duties.
3.Maintain records in accordance with audit and compliance requirements.
Logistics Coordination:
1.Arrange inland transportation for incoming goods from port to warehouse or destination.
2.Work with 3PLs, carriers, and internal teams to schedule and track deliveries.
3.Optimize transportation costs and delivery schedules.
Inventory and Systems Support:
1.Update ERP or inventory systems with shipment data and delivery timelines.
2.Support inventory reconciliation and stock availability checks.
3.Vendor and Stakeholder Communication:
4.Serve as the point of contact for suppliers and logistics partners.
5.Coordinate closely with purchasing, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure alignment and timely processing.
