Description
Under the supervision of the Associate Manager, the Intern will assist the Operations Team by performing a variety of standard administrative processes to ensure consistent service delivery as per assigned KPIs. This will include but not limited to Procurement, Inbound Logistics, Outbound Logistics and Warehouse Operations.
You would be a strong candidate if you:
- Hold a degree from a recognized institution preferably in Supply Chain Management
- Are proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
- Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and address conflicting priorities
- Are goal-oriented and organized team player
- Have excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Are able to work under minimal supervision
Provide administrative assistance for Procurement by;
- Updating the Procurement tracker
- Receiving and verifying invoices
- Ensure that the products and supplies are as per specifications
- Maintain an up-to-date supplier database
- Raising of all invoices
- Ensuring the Vendor KYC documents are up to date
- Assist procurement processes including preparation of RFQ, ITB/RFP documents and subsequent receipt and evaluation of quotations, bids or proposals.
Provide administrative assistance to Imports by:
- Updating all trackers including goods in transit and warehouse receipts
- Receiving and verifying 3PL invoices
- Raising all shipment related invoices on time
- Drafting of exemption letters
- Raising payments
- Updating the shipment folders
Provide administrative assistance to Exports by:
- Updating all trackers including the exports tracker
- Raising invoices
- Tabulation of the costs per consignment in GRN process
- Processing courier (DHL & FedEx) invoices
