Description
Plan, coordinate and administer Line Maintenance Outstations to ensure quality, safe, cost effective and on time operations of Kenya Airways and third-party schedules, to meet the business’ strategic objectives.
Analyse all technical delays and initiate actions or procedures to improve dispatch performance at Line Outstations.
Ensure technical safety and on time operations of KQ and customer flights at Line Outstations by providing regular technical oversight visits.
Assist Lead to assess cost effectiveness of outsourced line stations through well researched analysis.
Participate in Line station ‘set up’ including but not limited to assessing capabilities and seeking regulatory approvals.
Establish professional relationships with various Line Maintenance management and regulatory authorities at network stations to enable adequate support to KQ in regular and contingency situations.
Ensuring that the company’s procedures and standards are complied with when carrying out maintenance at Line Outstations.
Provide budget inputs and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
Ensure that required tools/equipment, ground support equipment and spares are available in serviceable condition to ensure safety and cost efficiency is maintained throughout the operation at Line Outstations.
Support Line Outstations during Quality Audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
Provide technical and Logistical support to Outstations during AOG recoveries.
Liaise, control, and update contractual agreements with organizations KQ is contracted to handle, proactively anticipating Customer needs.
Develop and maintain effective communication and contact with contracted companies and customers.
Main focal point on technical matters in outstations to MCC in relation to availability of resources, facilities, contacts, etc
Prepare and submit monthly reports on Line Maintenance Outstations’ performance.
Undertaking such other duties as may be reasonable directed by the Lead - Line Maintenance Outstations
At least 6 years working experience, 2 years of which should be on aircraft maintenance environment.
Aircraft Type Training on one or more aircraft on Kenya airways fleet will be an added advantage.

University graduate or Diploma in the relevant field
Management and organisational skills
Knowledge in third party operators’ procedures
Knowledge of SGHA contracts and IATP
Understanding of Project Management methodology
Inter-departmental knowledge and liaison
Knowledge of KCAA /EASA requirements and KQ procedures
