Amini

Description
- As PMO Lead, you will be the delivery spine for each country: the single owner of the deployment plan from contract signature through go-live. Without this role, every deployment runs on senior leadership's personal bandwidth. Your job is to change that.
- Critically, you are also the person the customer deals with day to day during deployment, managing their expectations, keeping them informed, and making sure the programme feels well-run from their side, not just ours.
- You will work at the intersection of our customers, Amini's internal delivery functions (Engineering, Tech, Product,Customer Success), and Commercial, translating a signed contract into a live, working deployment, and then into a repeatable playbook for the next country.
Responsibilities
Delivery Ownership
- Own the deployment plan end to end for each new country, from contract signature through go-live
- Act as the single point of accountability for delivery timelines, risks, and status
- Own the handover points between stages (e.g., contract sign to deployment, deployment to steady-state support) and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
Customer Programme Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for the government customer throughout the deployment, running status updates, managing expectations, and resolving issues before they become escalations
- Manage scope and changes with the customer directly: knowing what's in the original agreement, what's a reasonable accommodation, and when something needs to be escalated commercially
- Report deployment status and milestones clearly to both leadership and the customer, on a regular cadence
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate across functions involved in delivery (Engineering/RUN, Hardware, Forward Deployed Engineers, Customer Success) to keep each deployment on track
- Flag risks and blockers early, with enough lead time for leadership to act
- Partner with the regional commercial teams (e.g., Caribbean, Africa) to ensure a smooth handover from contract signature into delivery
Process & Playbook Building
- Build a standard, repeatable delivery playbook so each new country launch gets faster and lower-risk than the last
- Establish tracking and reporting processes where none currently exist
- Contribute to Amini's broader shift from heroic individual effort to scalable, distributed execution
What You Will Have: Essential
- Extensive experience in a programme/project management or delivery management role, ideally owning end-to-end delivery for external customers (not just internal projects)
- Direct experience managing customer-facing programmes: comfortable being the face of a delivery team to a client, not just coordinating internally
- Comfortable being the accountable owner for a plan that depends on other functions' work, without formal authority over those teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to manage expectations and communicate confidently with government or enterprise client stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills, able to build tracking and reporting processes from scratch
- Experience working across time zones and with distributed, cross-functional teams
- Calm under pressure: early deployments will surface things the plan didn't anticipate
What You Will Have: Highly Desirable
- Experience in infrastructure, telecom, or hardware-adjacent deployments (physical, in-country rollouts rather than pure software launches)
- Experience supporting government or public-sector customers through onboarding/go-live
- Experience with sovereign cloud, data residency, or digital public infrastructure (DPI) programmes
- PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification
- Prior work in Global South markets
