Science Laboratory Technician II

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining updated inventory and overall maintenance of equipment and facilities within the designated work station
  
• Cleanliness, organization and general layout of the work station
  
• Responsible for issuing and receiving equipment and chemicals to and from trainers and trainees
  
• Reporting to section heads on delays, problems, materials equipment needed and progress on practical requisitions
  
• Preparation and assembly of practical materials
  
• Ensuring safety of the workshop and equipment
  
• Responsible for supervising and ensuring safety measures amongst trainees and any attachees in the workshop
  
• Carry out simple repairs and maintenance of equipment.
  

Requirement

• Diploma in nursing from a recognized training institution with experience of 3 years or Served in the grade of Registered Nurse III for a minimum period of two (2) years in a busy health facility • Enrolment Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya;
  
• Valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya;
  
• Must have basic skills in book keeping
  
• Must be computer literate
  
• Above the age of 25 years
