Corporate Business Development
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire new corporate and institutional clients.
- Identify and pursue business opportunities across key industries and market segments.
- Drive new business generation, premium growth, and revenue performance within the corporate portfolio.
- Develop strong referral networks and strategic business relationships.
Client & Account Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, business owners, HR teams, finance leaders, and procurement stakeholders.
- Understand corporate clients' insurance requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Manage key accounts and ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and renewal.
Sales Performance
- Lead the team in achieving premium, revenue, new business, retention, and conversion targets.
- Monitor sales pipelines and ensure effective follow-up on prospects and business opportunities.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the organization's insurance portfolio.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports and provide market insights to management.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and mentor corporate sales professionals to achieve individual and team objectives.
- Set performance targets and monitor team productivity against agreed KPIs.
- Conduct regular pipeline reviews and support team members in converting high-value opportunities.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Operations, Risk, Marketing, and other relevant teams to deliver appropriate client solutions.
- Support preparation and presentation of proposals, tenders, quotations, and client presentations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
Requirements
EducationBachelor's Degree in:
- Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Finance, Economics Or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications in Insurance, Sales, Marketing, or Financial Services are an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 6–8 years of relevant experience in corporate sales, insurance, banking, financial services, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of achieving corporate sales and revenue targets.
- Demonstrable experience managing corporate accounts and developing new business.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a sales team is required.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, corporate risk solutions, and the Nigerian business environment is an advantage.
