Description
- Patrol assigned locations to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe conditions.
- Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, and maintain visitor logs.
- Respond promptly to security alarms and incidents, reporting findings to supervisors.
- Assist in enforcing compliance with safety and security policies.
- Write clear and concise reports on daily activities and irregularities.
- Support crowd control, access control, and emergency evacuation procedures as needed.
- Provide assistance and directions to employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Maintain surveillance of premises using CCTV and other monitoring devices.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Sectional Heads.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Secondary School Certificate.
- Retired from any of the Nigeria Army Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force or Police).
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a security guard, preferably in an industrial or large-scale facility setting.
Skills and Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of security and safety procedures.
- Good observational and reporting skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
- Effective communication skills.
