KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide overall leadership and management of the Polypropylene Plant, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operations.
  • Deliver production targets while maintaining the highest standards of product quality, process safety and environmental compliance.
  • Lead Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Reliability, Utilities, Quality and Technical Services teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Optimize plant availability, throughput, yields, energy efficiency and manufacturing costs.
  • Develop and implement maintenance, reliability and turnaround strategies to maximize asset integrity and minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, operational efficiency and overall plant performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements and champion a strong process safety culture.
  • Develop annual operating plans, budgets and capital expenditure requirements while ensuring effective cost control.
  • Work closely with Commercial, Supply Chain and Logistics teams to align production with customer demand and business priorities.
  • Build, develop and mentor a high-performing operations team through effective performance management, succession planning and capability development.
  • Establish strong relationships with technology licensors, contractors, equipment suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare operational performance reports and provide regular updates to senior management on plant performance, risks and improvement initiatives.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration or related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 20 years' experience in petrochemical, refining or chemical manufacturing operations.
  • At least 10 years in senior operational leadership roles within a large continuous process manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing polypropylene or similar processing facilities is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of process safety management, asset integrity, reliability engineering and operational excellence practices.
  • Experience managing large operating budgets and driving cost optimization initiatives.
