Description

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and acquire new retail and corporate clients.
  • Convert leads to insurance policies across approved product lines.
  • Meet or exceed assigned production and revenue targets.
  • Support renewal, cross-selling, and upselling of existing client portfolios.

Client Relationship Management

  • Conduct client needs assessments and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure retention and repeat business.
  • Provide accurate information on products, pricing, and policy terms.
  • Address client inquiries and support resolution of service-related issues.

Marketing & Lead Generation Activities

  • Execute field marketing, direct sales, and relationship-based marketing activities.
  • Participate in promotional events, corporate visits, and market activations.
  • Generate and follow up on sales leads from assigned channels.
  • Support implementation of sales campaigns and initiatives.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate completion of proposal forms and onboarding documentation.
  • Support KYC compliance and timely submission of required client documents.
  • Follow internal policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Prepare and submit regular sales activity and production reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, leads, and closed business.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor feedback to management.


EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION(S)

  • Bachelor's degree or HND in any relevant discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification is an advantage.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2–5 years' experience in sales or marketing.
  • Insurance or financial services sales experience is an advantage.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) is required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Customer-focused and target-driven mindset.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of insurance products and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and in a field-based environment.
  • Knowledge of the New Insurance Reform Acts (NIRA).
