Material Analyst

Job Summary

A materials Analyst: daily schedule focuses on reviewing, verifying, and converting employee requests into purchase orders while ensuring budget compliance. Also:

• Analyze material usage trends and forecast future material requirements.
  
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability, conducting regular cycle counts and audits.
  
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistic teams to avoid material shortages or overstock situations.
  

Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce material costs

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and review the daily queue of submitted purchase requisitions PR.
  

• Ensure proper checks to compliance with company purchasing policies.
  
• Conduct regular inspection to verify if items are already in stock through Data analysis.
  
• Stores Operations Oversight And strong attention to detail.
  
• Maintain accurate reporting and compliance.
  
• Prepare and submit updates on pending orders, track shipments, and resolve any discrepancies.
  
• Maintain records, update the procurement database with quality standard.
  

Educational Qualification and Work Experience

• Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Social Science or Engineering related courses.
  
• Any relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
  
• Minimum of 3-5 Years hands-on experience in material management in a manufacturing industry.
