Medical Laboratory Technician

Qualifications & Experience:

• Must possess a National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician
  

• Must possess a valid license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
  

• Knowledge of Quality Management systems is an asset
  

• Proven experience of at least 2 years as a Medical Laboratory Technician in a Clinical Laboratory.
  

• Must be a growing Christian.
  

• Must demonstrate the ability to teach and train others.
  

• Receive biological test orders from the Physicians through the Electronic Medical Record system.
  

• Collect and analyze biological specimens from patients.
  

• Report biological test results to the Physicians through the Electronic Medical Record system.
  

• Assist with organizing work areas and workflow.
  

• Assist in the care of all equipment assigned to the Laboratory.
  

• Assist with the quality control and preventive maintenance programs of the laboratory.
  

• Practice efficient and economical use of laboratory supplies.
  

• Behave reassuringly to all patients who come to the laboratory.
  

• Assist in preparing Laboratory stock solutions.
  

• Carry out specific assignments as indicated by the Laboratory Head.
