Description
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in networking, with a strong track record of overseeing complex IT environments.
- Deep understanding of designing networking infrastructure on a global scale.
- Knowledge of networking concepts such as DHCP, TCP, UDP, STP, 802.1x, SD-WAN, and Zero-Trust
Responsibilities
Procurement: Responsible for procuring and forecasting the need for ISP connections to new Zipline sites, as well as any necessary hardware such as firewalls, switches and access points.
Infrastructure Monitoring: Monitor network performance across offices to ensure consistent uptime for Zipline employees. This includes failing hardware, potential internet bandwidth issues, and wireless connectivity at Zipline offices.
Incident and Problem Management: Lead the response to networking related incidents and problems, coordinating with technical teams to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide IT team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and optimize IT processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and automation where applicable.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate IT operational status, updates, and potential impacts to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
Budget Management: Collaborate with the IT leadership team to manage the IT infrastructure budget, making cost-effective decisions that align with organizational goals.
