Painter

• Inspect and assess surfaces to determine appropriate preparation methods, including removal of mold, stains, and repair of damaged areas.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by filling cracks and holes, sanding, and applying primers and sealers to ensure optimal finish and durability.
• Execute interior and exterior painting works, including façade applications, using ladders and scaffolding where required.
• Apply paints, putty, and specialized coatings with precision, including spray painting across surfaces such as walls, wood, metal, doors, windows, and ceilings.
• Carry out surface preparation and finishing techniques, including POP works, screeding, and gloss applications to achieve high-quality results.
• Protect surrounding areas by covering furniture, floors, and fixtures with appropriate materials such as nylon sheets and masking tape.
• Demonstrate strong communication, integrity, accountability, teamwork, and safety awareness in all assigned tasks.

Relevant work experience / Qualification

• Hold at least an HND / OND qualification or a relevant Trade Test certification.
• 3-6 years of experience in painting and surface preparation.
• Ability to mix and apply several types of paint, including Oil paint, Emulsion Paint, Enamel Paint, Bituminous Paint, Aluminum Paint, Anti-Corrosive Paint, Synthetic Rubber Paint, Cement Paint, etc.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
