Professional & Technical Strengths
  • B2B experience in enterprise technology or software sales, with strong exposure to solution-led or technical sales environments
  • Proven track record of delivering against revenue targets in complex sales cycles
  • Experience engaging utilities, government institutions, or large enterprise clients across African markets

  • Ability to collaborate with multicultural and geographically distributed teams
  • High degree of autonomy and accountability (we operate within a hybrid work environment)
  • Strong stakeholder leadership skills, ability to align internal teams and influence senior external decision-makers

  • Clear, persuasive communicator with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences

Responsibilities
Commercial Qualification & Solution Engagement
  • Participate in qualified opportunities alongside the Business Development & Growth team, taking ownership of the technical-commercial conversation
  • Lead structured account deep-dives to understand operational, technical, and strategic client needs
  • Support opportunity qualification by assessing solution fit, complexity, and deployment requirements
  • Contribute to account penetration strategies through solution mapping and value articulation
Solution Leadership & Deal Structuring
  • Co-lead the sales cycle from discovery through contract signature, with primary ownership of the solution narrative
  • Deliver high-impact product demonstrations and technical presentations tailored to business and technical stakeholders
  • Translate client pain points into structured solution proposals, RFP responses, and commercial offers
Strategic Client Advisory
  • Act as a trusted advisor, bringing credibility and structured thinking
  • Anticipate technical objections and guide clients through POCs and early deployments
  • Coordinate closely with Product Management and Product Operations teams to ensure feasibility and smooth transition to implementation
Market Intelligence & Strategy
  • Track competitive landscape and market trends in the African power sector
  • Provide feedback to the Product Management team on client needs and feature requests
  • Represent BPS at conferences, trade shows, and industry forums
Managerial Responsibilities
  • Define and own the annual operating plan for the function, including workforce and financial planning
  • Manage and optimize departmental budgets
  • Make strategic resource allocation decisions
