Technical Instructor - Mechanical

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and delivery of curriculum for mechanical technology courses, ensuring alignment with approved curriculum/ standards
  
• Provide hands-on instruction in labs and classrooms, fostering a practical learning environment
  
• Support students in understanding complex electrical concepts, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols
  
• Evaluate student progress through assessments and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes
  
• Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure continuous research work and adopt the use of cohesive educational experience across all training programs
  
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development initiatives
  

• Management of training tools and laboratory equipment and updating of the Dangote Academy workshop inventory list for both tools and consumables.
  
• Implementation of other related tasks as may be assigned by the Centre manager or other superior persons.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree / HND or it's equivalent in Mechanical Engineering from reputable Institution.
  
• Minimum of five (5) years of field experience in Mechanical system handling, plus any additional experience in mentoring, teaching or tutoring.
  
• Strong understanding of mechaniical principles, systems, and safety standards and use of equipment
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
