• At least 3 years of relevant communication and audio-visual production experience. Journalistic experience is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good writing skills.
• Experience in writing press releases, communication stories and pitching/spotting stories.
• Basic proficiency in using DSLR cameras and other photography and videography production equipment.
• Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills, including communicating effectively with international and national colleagues and partners in a multicultural environment.
• Good organisational skills: being flexible, working well under pressure, and dealing with competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment.
• Detail-oriented and good multi-tasking abilities to meet multiple deadlines.

Multi-media Communication;
• Manage all multi-media and communications-related activities at BarefootLaw.
• Update and implement the BarefootLaw communication strategy to align with objectives accordingly, including messages, target groups and communication targets.
• Develop and produce high-quality communication materials like Videos, Flyers, Presentations, blog posts, newsletters, Media Releases, Banners, and Multi-media Content.
• Draft articles and success stories for external communications and the BarefootLaw website.
• Ensure increasing visibility of BarefootLaw with relevant stakeholders nationally and internationally.
• Support developing and rolling out communications, brand, and visibility concepts and materials.
• Support the overall implementation and delivery of digital media strategy. Aid in developing, managing and quality assurance of social media campaigns. Monitor, review, update, and create content for the BarefootLaw website and provide support in providing content for different media channels. Ensure BarefootLaw’s social media presence is timely, relevant and consistent with the Communications strategy and according to established guidelines, and is exciting, engaging and impactful.
• Grow BarefootLaw’s online media audience, engagement and impact. Conceive, design and launch original content for online media platforms, including graphics, videos and interactive components.
• Work closely with staff across the joint programme to develop new and engaging content for multimedia. Build strong networks with allied organisations’ digital media teams. Promote relationships with civil society and other partners to increase the outreach of BarefootLaw messages.
• Manage service suppliers for videography and photography production.
Program Implementation Communications
• Support joint communication activities, for example radio shows, community meetings, etc.
• Produce communication materials for activities, such as photos or IEC material.
• Align with partners to ensure that their communication materials about BarefootLaw are consistent. Ensure all involved partners adhere to minimum quality standards when communicating about BarefootLaw.
• Establish and monitor the achievement of KPIs. Compile and analyse data from our media platforms to increase content performance.
Knowledge Management
• Create weekly Internal Bulletins to keep the team updated on all scheduled activities.
• Lead partners in collecting and profiling the Most Significant Change Stories. Working closely with the consortium partners and the technical leads to identify needs and opportunities for multi-media content development and dissemination.
• Collect materials such as stories, reports, interviews, testimonials, photographs, videos, and figures. Work closely with the different media houses and outlets at the national and community level to design and disseminate audio-visual content, community outreach activities and spot messages.
• Managing and updating file structure in an online database (Teams). Administer and file photographs and other materials.
• Develop formats and templates for team members to document field experiences.
• Managed coverage of live events, trips, and conferences.
• Create and lead social media training for BarefootLaw staff and partners (on request). Provide advice to senior leadership on digital media issues.
• Liaise with the MEAL team to proactively monitor multi-media solutions, document and manage collected data, and disseminate learnings to key stakeholders.
• Replace other Communications colleagues during absences and share workload during periods of high demand.
• All other related duties as assigned.
