Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing2Post-GraduatePGD

  • Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Infectious Diseases)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery

  • At least three (3) years’ experience at the level of Nursing Officer.
  • Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills, high integrity and a community service ethic.

  • Monitor implementation of policy on infectious diseases nursing.
  • Coordinate the provision of technical support related to infectious diseases nursing to Referral Hospitals and Districts.
  • Monitor implementation of standards and guidelines related to infectious diseases nursing.
  • Participate in the quality assurance programmes of the Ministry of Health.
  • Monitor the performance of infectious diseases Nurses in Referral and NGO Hospitals.
  • Promote equitable deployment of infectious diseases Nurses in Referral and NGO Hospitals.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Develop work plans and budgets.
