Assistant Nursing Officer, Makerere University Health Services

i. A Diploma in Midwifery/ Nursing/ Psychiatric Nursing or Comprehensive Nursing;

ii. Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC);

iii. Must hold a valid practicing license.

1. Guidance and counselling;

2. Concern for quality and standards;

3. Ethics and integrity;

4. Time management.

1. Provide quality nursing and midwifery services;

2. Prepare and submit reports;

3. Allocate and supervise duties of Enrolled Nurses;

4. Coach and mentor Enrolled Nurses;

5. Participate in research activities for evidence-based practice;

6. Implement nursing protocols;

7. Manage performance of Enrolled Nurses;

8. Account for supplies and drugs;

9. Conduct PHC and health education;

10. Strictly adhere to code of conduct and ethics;

11. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
