Creche Officer

Education Requirements:

· Bachelors in Early childhood handling and care.

· Professional training in early childhood handling.

Work Experience:

· At least 3yrs experience looking after young children in a pre-school day care, crèche, orphanage, babies’ home or related childcare environment and crèche equipment management.

· Ensure the overall safety and wellbeing of the children.

· Provide a caring, stimulating environment for the children.

· Develop and implement age-appropriate child development activities to enhance the children’s spiritual, physical, cognitive and character growth

· Ensure that rooms are prepared and set out in readiness for the day.

· Ensure a high standard of hygiene on the premises.

· Ensuring the proper maintenance of crèche equipment and resources.

· Ensure availability of Registration database and children's files

· Keep strictly confidential any personal information and records regarding the children, their parents and others.

· Ensure that all policies governing the crèche and the code of conduct are adhered to.

· Ensure sterilization of toys and play areas so that children are safe, engaging and in a clean environment.

· Clean and wash children daily

· Keep the parents and supervisors up-to-date on the condition of the children.

· Resolve operational issues of a minor nature.

· Inform the supervisor of any matter requiring their attention.

· Budgeting for Crèche operations and management of the Crèche petty cash

· Coordinate end month meetings with the parents
