Essential Qualifications

Education:

  • Diploma of secondary education is required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of six years of relevant work experience in data entry, database management, or record keeping management, or other related fields is required; An advanced or a first-level university degree may be considered as a substitute for two years’ working experience only to determine eligibility.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience in programme management in the field is required
  • Previous experience in project management of projects involving vulnerable groups in an international organisation, UN organisation, or international NGO is desirable.
Responsibilities

Programme Support:

  • Participate under the supervision of the Programme Manager in the admission of eligible victims to participate in the reparations program in conjunction with the implementing partners and the VPRS database in the project area;
  • Ensure that all identified victims have valid identity documents for their tracking and identification within the reparations programme. Where this is not the case, coordinate with the implementing partner on agreed processes to issue their identity documents;
  • Communicate with identified victims on the terms of their admission to the reparation programme and follow-up on the admission process of victims with the respective reparation measures;
  • The Field Assistant will conduct the eligible victim contact notification obligations (Acholi speaker);

Monitoring and evaluation support:

  • Assist the programme team in regularly monitoring beneficiary care within reparation measure initiatives and within implementing partner initiatives;
  • Participate in the preparation of progress reports and monitoring of reparation projects.

Communications Support:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with victims and regularly inform them about the terms of their participation in the reparation programme, the measures offered, the implementation schedule, their responsibilities, and the availability of a complaints mechanism;
  • Develop key messages to share with victims according to specific needs;
  • Manage the programme's SMS communication platforms and disseminate awareness-raising messages to victims after review by the Programme Manager;

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support to the programme team in the organization of events, meetings and workshops, etc.
  • Make travel arrangements for the programme team including preparation of travel requisitions and claims.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval. Ensure safekeeping of confidential materials.
