Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for:

1. Recruitment & Workforce Planning

o Identify staffing gaps with Heads of Department.

o Develop and implement annual recruitment plans.

o Coordinate recruitment and selection processes.

o Manage staff induction, orientation and probation tracking.

2. HR Policy & Compliance

o Develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and systems.

o Ensure consistent application of HR policies across all departments.

o Guide management and employees on HR policies and procedures.

o Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and company requirements.

3. HR Administration

o Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.

o Manage employment contracts and renewals.

o Maintain an effective HR information system.

o Monitor employee leave and HR reports.

o Prepare HR reports and management briefs.

4. Performance Management

o Coordinate the complete performance management cycle.

o Support managers and supervisors in setting and reviewing performance objectives.

o Coordinate appraisals and performance reviews.

o Provide performance reports and advise management on performance-related actions.

5. Learning & Development

o Develop and implement annual training and development plans.

o Identify employee training needs.

o Coordinate staff training and development programmes.

o Evaluate training effectiveness and learning transfer.

o Support organisational change initiatives.

6. Employee Relations & Engagement

o Promote positive employee relations and staff engagement.

o Manage employee grievances and disciplinary processes.

o Advise management on employee relations matters.

o Implement employee welfare and wellbeing initiatives.

o Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees.

7. Payroll Administration

o Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with Heads of Department.

o Prepare and submit payroll for Finance review and processing.

o Maintain accurate payroll records.

o Follow up on NSSF remittances.

o Resolve employee payroll-related queries.

8. Employee Separation

o Coordinate employee exits, transfers and job rotations.

o Ensure proper separation procedures are followed.

o Ensure separation processes comply with applicable labour laws and company policies.


Requirements


Academic & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration or another relevant field, with over 10 years’ relevant HR management experience. Masters Degree is an added advantage.

• Demonstrable experience managing a broad HR function in a structured organisation.

• Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, payroll administration and HR compliance.
