Description

Education and Qualifications:

  1. LLB and post graduate diploma in legal practice
  2. Must possess a valid practicing certificate
  3. At least 3 years of professional litigation experience and qualified to appear before the High Court.
  4. Ability to speak local languages is an added advantage.


Responsibilities
  1. Receiving and Interviewing clients;
  2. Providing legal advice and counseling to clients;
  3. Drafting and preparation of Legal and Court Documents;
  4. Representing the Employer’s clients in courts of law;
  5. mediation/arbitration proceedings and or other tribunals;
  6. Conducting research and preparing legal briefs and opinions for legal officers;
  7. Conducting and facilitating mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolutions;
  8. Conducting legal and human rights sensitization programs;
  9. Generating articles for newsletters and journal from activities and programs; and
  10. Carry out any other lawful duties as may be assigned by the Chief Executive Officer, Head of Department, Legal Aid Services and or any other superior/supervisor
