Technical Advisor

The Technical Advisor- Vaccines will work full time on the vaccine programme supporting the Ministry of Health directly with the Uganda Expanded Programme for Immunisation (UNEPI) and as necessary the Malaria Control Division, in the malaria vaccine implementation planning, which may include activities such as considerations around seasonality, community engagement and case management, and training of health workers.

The successful candidate will have:

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, or a related field.
  
• Specialized training and/or experience in vaccination programmes
  
• Proven experience working in public health, ideally with a focus on malaria prevention.
  
• Prior experience in providing strategic support to government health programmes or international health organizations.
  
• Prior experience of working with EPI and malaria programs in Uganda or other countries with similar context.
  
• In-depth knowledge of immunisation programmes, particularly Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) systems.
