Technician - Department of Pharmacology & Therapeutics

Job Purpose
Assist in formulating, reviewing and maintaining standard operating procedures for use in the workplace (Laboratories).

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Experimental Execution & Preclinical Testing in the areas of Pharmacology
   

2. Solution Preparation & Technical Support
   

3. Laboratory Maintenance, Safety, and Compliance
   

4. Data Management & Meticulous Documentation
   

5. Any other duties as assigned by Head of Department
   

Required Qualifications
i. An Honours Bachelor’s degree (Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Laboratory Technology, Science Laboratory Technology)
ii. Experience in Experimental Pharmacology will be an added advantage

Experience
At least 3 years’ relevant work experience

Skills/Competences
i. Customer Care;
ii. Ability to communicate precisely and concisely;
iii. Analytical skills;
iv. Proficiency in using machines and computers.

Tenure of Appointment
4-year contract

Age Limit
