Treasury Officer

1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce /Business Administration accounting or Finance option). CPA/ACCA level two is an added advantage.
   
2. Basic Level ACI dealing certificate
   
3. 4 years banking experience 2 of which should be preferable have been in Forex Treasury environment and dealing in Forex and Money Market
   
4. A good in-depth knowledge of Treasury products, services and strategies and back-office operations.
   
5. A general knowledge of other bank products in particular trade and structured trade finance
   
6. Effective trading ability and good track record.
   
7. General understanding of financial risk management strategies and tools
   

Foreign exchange affairs:

i) Creating a clientele base through alias, referrals and market penetration.

ii) Generating high volume of quality business from existing customers via daily calls and client visits.

iii) Ensuring existing and prospective Forex customers are served through daily and / or through regular telephone calls and client visits.

Money Market affairs:

i) Carrying out the dealing and foreign exchange activity from end to end whilst ensuring that all the bank’s interests are protected, and financial targets are met.

ii) Effectively monitoring funds in all the Nostro and Clearing accounts to ensure the accounts are adequately funded to meet payment obligations and any surpluses are gainfully invested.

iii) Carrying out all dealing activities within set approved limits to mitigate risks.

Liquidity & Cash Management:

i) Supporting team in monitoring Cash Balances across branches.

ii) Taking an active part in deposit mobilization to enable the MDI to grow its deposit base and boost liquidity.

Customer care:

i) Employing the teller customer service principles in the unit with respect to handling both internal and external customers.
