QUALITY PLASTICS UGANDA LIMITED is seeking experienced HR Officer (1) to assist with our HR needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, high level of emotional intelligence and proficiency in HR practices and procedures. As the HR Officer, you will also be responsible for administrative HR support, recruitment, induction, managing HR software, attendance management, data management, etc. This is a full-time role, on-site position located in Mukono.


Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field

• Minimum 1 year of experience in HR or related field

• High level of emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

• Understanding of Ugandan labor laws

• Experience with HR software systems and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English and Luganda

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of the organization A team player with a positive and supportive attitude

• Responsible for talent acquisition and recruitment processes. Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacant positions, and managing the employment process.

• Orientating new employees and training existing employees.

• Monitoring employee performance. Organize annual employee performance reviews.

• Ensuring that all employees are organized and satisfied in their work environment.

• Overseeing the health and safety of all employees.

• Implementing systematic staff development procedures.

• Providing counselling on policies and procedures.

• Ensuring attendance is correctly captured by the Biometric system and maintain data in HRIS.

• Ensuring meticulous implementation of payroll and benefits administration.

• Communicating with staff about issues affecting their performance.

• Ensuring accurate and proper record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital format.

• Provide support to employees in various HR-related matters such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.

• Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace Ensure compliance with labour regulations.

• Executing disciplinary action in compliance with the company policy and labour law.

• Ensuring all documentation is in compliance with the ISO & FSSC requirements.

• And any other HR-related duties as may be assigned.
