About

In 2002 as war raged through northern Uganda, Alice Achan saw a need to provide quality education for female victims of war and violence. Her first class began under a Kworo tree with 10 child mothers, babies in hand. 18 years later the Te-Kworo Foundation is made up of 2 boarding schools educating over 300 students annually while also providing maternal and medical healthcare to the local community. A compelling story of hope, forgiveness, redemption and the human capacity to survive and even thrive against the backdrop of war and chaos. This is Alice’s story.
