My name is Nabisere Vivian. I am a Community Engagement, Partnerships and Events Senior Associate at SafeBoda. My passion is serving and impacting people's lives using technology to explore and create solutions. I love mentoring people, it gives me joy seeing someone becoming better.
While working as an intern at the Directorate of ICT Makerere University, I signed up on FUZU where I came across an IT intern role at SafeBoda and applied. I was successfully hired, and the rest as they say is history.
I’ve had an opportunity to grow through different roles - from Front Desk Manager, Call Center Associate to my current role where I was recommended by the VP of people at SafeBoda who noticed how passionate I was about engaging people.
What I like the most about the culture at SafeBoda is the fact that community, innovation and transparency are part of the core values. Anyone would like to have a sense of belonging and love what they do, and SafeBoda makes you feel at home and gives an opportunity for everyone to grow in their career. Our cultural days have been my best moments because of the opportunity to learn from different cultures, I’ve won twice so far!
I’m grateful to have a supportive team that ensured we easily adjusted to working remotely when COVID-19 hit. We actually used that time to think of more ideas on how to keep our team engaged and motivated.
