Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational objectives.
- Provide guidance and support on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, appraisals, and performance improvement plans.
- Support workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
- Advise managers on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Monitor employee engagement and recommend initiatives to improve workplace culture and productivity.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities to ensure a positive employee experience.
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare reports to support management decision-making.
- Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
- Collaborate with payroll and compensation teams on employee-related matters.
- Support change management initiatives and organizational restructuring where required.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Participate in policy development and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 4–6 years' experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role.
- Certifications: Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Technical & Legal Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labour Law and HR best practices.
- Experience in employee relations, performance management, talent management, and organizational development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience using HRIS systems is an added advantage.
