About the Role π―
We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Payroll Tax Associate to join our team. In this role, you will manage federal and state tax compliance within the PEO industry. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll tax processing, reconciliation, tax notice resolution, and ensuring our organization remains fully compliant with all local, federal, and international tax regulations.

Location: On-Site
Schedule: Monday β Friday, 9:00 AM β 6:00 PM GMT-5
Language requirement: Advanced english (C1)
Key Responsibilities π
Tax Compliance: Research legal issues, monitor filing positions, and ensure all activities comply with local, federal, and international tax laws.
Tax Processing: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns via e-file, batch agent files, and EFT.
Reconciliation & Audits: Perform payroll tax reconciliations, assist in the audit of corporate tax payments, and verify data accuracy across all filings.
Problem Solving: Resolve complex tax notices, discrepancies, and client inquiries in a timely, effective manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments on new projects to ensure proper tax liability coverage.
Customer Service: Provide high-level support and guidance to clients regarding payroll tax issues or requests.
Requirements π
Experience: Minimum of 1+ year of experience in Payroll, Tax, or a related field. (PEO industry experience is highly preferred).
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. (Fundamental Payroll Certification - FPC - is a plus).
Technical Skills: Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
