Fairoils EPZ Limited is a leading Kenyan manufacturer and exporter of
high-quality vegetable oils and essential oils, serving international markets
through sustainable sourcing and world-class manufacturing.
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance
Officer to join our Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an
ambitious accountant who enjoys working in a dynamic manufacturing environment
and wants to broaden their experience across financial reporting, working
capital management, treasury support and financial controls.
Role Summary
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer will play a key
role in maintaining the integrity of the Company's financial records while
supporting effective working capital management and financial reporting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accounts receivable,
fixed asset management, balance sheet reconciliations, treasury and accounts
payable support, regulatory reporting and month-end reporting activities. The
role will also participate in inventory stock counts and support continuous
improvement of finance processes and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer invoicing, accounts receivable and collections.
- Maintain assigned balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Maintain the fixed asset register, coordinate physical asset verification and
ensure accurate asset accounting. - Support treasury and accounts payable activities, including payment processing,
supplier reconciliations and cash planning. - Prepare monthly financial schedules and support month-end and year-end close.
- Prepare regulatory and statutory reports.
- Participate in monthly and ad hoc inventory stock counts and support inventory
reconciliations. - Support internal and external audit processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and internal
controls. - Provide business continuity support across the finance function as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- CPA (K), ACCA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification is
required. - Candidates must have completed CPA Part III (Finalist) at a minimum. Fully qualified
CPA(K), ACCA or equivalent will have an added advantage. - Minimum 4–6 years' progressive accounting experience, preferably within a
manufacturing, FMCG or agro-processing environment. - Demonstrated experience in:
- Accounts receivable and collections
- Fixed asset accounting
- Treasury and accounts payable support
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end financial reporting
- Working capital management
- Experience using Sage or a similar ERP system.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience in an export, EPZ or manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with experience in manufacturing costing, ERP implementation or finance
process improvement will have a distinct advantage.
